Great location, hotel has good facilities and room was a decent size. Staff was helpful and changed our room when we raised noise issues. Rooms are big and functional, location is good. Fabulously located - walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Rooms are generous in size and the hotel itself is beautifully designed. I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel and brilliant value for money!! I would stay there again - I wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay. Located only 0.7 km from the immense Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the 4-star International House Hotel New Orleans features spa therapy, various recreational opportunities and entertainment activities. It's in the Central Business District (CBD), which is essentially across the street from the freewheeling French Quarter. Many corporations, foreign consulates and the city’s convention center are located here, as is the Superdome. The hotel was really nice, super close to Bourbon street but not too loud. Hotel is not too big which is what we preferred. If we'd ever come back to New orleans I would stay in this place again and would not search for any other and I rarely say this. In 1943, businessman Archie Jewell renovated it to become “The International House,” the world’s first World Trade Center.
The staff were great at the hotel, very accommodating and helpful. The location is a couple of block from the French Quarter, which would be most tourists reason to visit. But the CBD and some street car lines are close by. The bar in the reception area was fabulous with some knowledge staff. There are several places to brunch within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.
